My Life in 8 Words

Author Revealed

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. "Why am I so tired?"

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. Paris. I'd somehow be on a really cute bicycle, wearing a perfect scarf. And I'd magically know French.

Q. Which living person do you most admire?

A. I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to say my mother, and while that is true, I also think Michelle Obama seems extremely rad.

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. Teaching writing. Although I admit I have an ill-advised running-a-bookstore fantasy.

Q. Who is your favorite fictional villain?

A. Humbert Humbert, the disturbed bard of Lolita.
