Randy Susan Meyers is the bestselling author of Accidents of Marriage, The Comfort of Lies, and The Murderer’s Daughters. Her books have twice been finalists for the Mass Book Award and named “Must Read Books” by the Massachusetts Center for the Book. She lives with her husband in Boston, where she teaches writing at the Grub Street Writers’ Center.

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. I smile (perhaps too much--it makes my face into an apple) and can't help making jokes all the time.

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Lying on a beach, under an umbrella, reading an absolutely fantastic book, after swimming, while not worrying about how I look. (Could this ever happen?)

Q. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

A. Stuffing made from my grandmother's recipe.
