About The Book

Kanya Sesser was born without legs, but that doesn't mean she has limits!

Sometimes I still fall.
But I never give up.
I make things work for me.
Because I'm strong.
Because I'm free.
Because I have NO limits.

Kanya Sesser has spent her life sharing the message that no matter what life deals you, you can do anything. In this picture book based on her childhood, she tells the story of how she first learned to stand up for herself, both on a skateboard and in life. When people grab her wheelchair, to push her to class or onto the bus after school, she's too shocked and too sad to say no. The people around her don't understand that she moves herself. But when she rides a skateboard for the first time, she experiences a new sense of freedom and joy, and she finally finds her voice.

This empowering picture book will teach kids that if they put their mind to something, they can achieve it.

About The Authors

Kanya Sesser is a multi-sport athlete, actress, model, and motivational speaker with no legs and no limits! She was found abandoned on a roadside in Thailand at the age of one week old, then raised in a hospital until she was adopted to the USA at the age of six. As soon as she felt the breeze in her hair on a skateboard, Kanya was hooked, and she's been skating ever since. She also competed in track, wheelchair basketball and tennis, and mono-skiing. Kanya now lives in LA, where she is an actress and model. She has acted and done stunts in Hawaii Five-O, The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and Code Black, as well as ad campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch and Sweaty Betty. Kanya continues to skateboard competitively. She recently won second place in Women's Adaptive Skate on the Dew Tour, and is about to release her first pro-model deck with Pico Skateboards. Kanya has 98K followers on Instagram and 23.9K followers on TikTok.

Nisha Lamsam Ligon is a Thai-American writer, producer, and social entrepreneur based in East Africa. About The Illustrator

When she's not drawing or writing, you can find her staring at trees, watching true crime documentaries, doodling bears, or walking in the woods with her familiar. She currently lives in the countryside of Austria.
