A. A dock, a lake, the sun, my family and friends, and a pile of books I couldn't possibly finish, ever.

A. I admire intelligence, humility, and a kind--but sharp--sense of humour.

Today was a day just like any other—except it was perfect.



I woke up with that warm feeling you get when you know it’s a special day but can’t quite remember, in your still-sleepy haze, what’s so great about it. Oh, yes. Publication day in Canada! Normally, I close my eyes and try to squeeze in a few extra moments of sleep before the kids get up, but today I went downstairs and made coffee before my husband did. (That almost never happens.)
