About The Book

A National Bestseller

When Sanna Marin became Prime Minister of Finland at thirty-four years old, she captivated the world’s attention with her progressive ideas and “proved that good leadership does not depend on age” (Time100 Next).

The first in her family to attend university, Sanna broke barriers to become a global icon. Her term as prime minister—the youngest world leader at that time—took her from the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, to leading Finland’s historic entry into NATO, to implementing reforms on climate change, social justice, and equality during unprecedented global upheaval.

But her journey was about more than policy. Hope in Action is Sanna’s candid account of leading through uncertainty while facing intense scrutiny of her private life, and it is both a searing indictment of the double standards women face and a moving tribute to the international support that sustained her.

Heartfelt and profound, this is Sanna’s enduring legacy—an inspirational blueprint for anyone ready to bring their full, authentic selves to the table.
