Cullen grew up in rural North Carolina, but now lives in the St. Louis area with his wife Cindy and his son Jackson. A lifelong Wizard of Oz Fan, Cullen's current title The Ultimate Oz Universe: Lost Lands of Oz is  a dream come true to work on a favorite universe in graphic novel format.
