Hiroshi Higashida

HIroshi HIgashida is a pioneer who earned Japan’s first Ph.D. in the field of puzzles. He places great emphasis on teaching logical reasoning—such as “deduction,” “induction,” and “abduction (hypothesis formation)”—through puzzles.The method developed by Higashida guides learners through solving problems by following a series of steps: identifying conditions, categorizing information, discovering patterns, and reasoning through solutions. This approach is designed to build mental  endurance and foster a habit of logical thinking.
