Mira Nurdianti was born in Indonesia and raised in the rich traditions of Javanese culture. Surrounded by family who taught her the philosophies, rituals, and symbolism of Javanese life—including the sacred slametan feasts that mark life’s milestones—Mira developed a deep connection to spiritual and cultural storytelling.

Now based in Sydney, Australia, she brings that heritage to life through her intricate fine liner illustrations, which she describes as a visual diary of reflection and inner strength. Mira also runs Melancholy Memento, an online gallery and shop showcasing artwork inspired by femininity, folklore, witchcraft, and a gentle sense of melancholia. Through her creations, she hopes to connect with others and help them discover their own quiet resilience—like a talisman carried in ink.
