Nirvikar Singh is Distinguished Professor of Economics, Co-Director of the Center for Analytical Finance, and Sarbjit Singh Aurora Chair of Sikh and Punjabi Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economics, Management and Religion. He works on the Indian economy, the economics of religion, economic development and political economy.
