He has illustrated books for Simon & Schuster; Scholastic; Random House; Holt, Rinehart and Winston; Harcourt; Houghton Mifflin; and Hooked on Phonics. He enjoys snowboarding, racquetball, mountain biking, backpacking, and camping with his wife and their three boys. They live in Coalinga, California.
