About The Author

Virgil (Publius Vergilius Maro) (70–19 BC), was the great Roman poet of classical antiquity. He wrote three of the most famous poems in Classical literature: the Eclogues (or Bucolics), the Georgics, and the epic Aeneid. He also appears in Dante's Divine Comedy as a guide to the author through Inferno and Purgatorio.
