About The Author

Delphine Bousquet Hazoumè has been living in Benin for almost 20 years. Having arrived by chance and returned for love, this former journalist has chronicled her adopted country in her reports for RFI, France Inter, Libération and La Croix, before devoting her first book to it: Bénin: African Enchantment (Nevicata). She is lucky enough to live near the beach in Cotonou, but she is always up for a weekend in Porto-Novo, the city closest to her heart, a trip along the coast or into the interior of the country. For each time offers the chance to encounter culture, spirituality and history.
