About The Author

Johanna Wright is a fine artist, author, and illustrator, passionate about the magic of creative energy and its ability to heal, transform, and inspire. Wright has authored and illustrated over ten picture and middle-grade books, including the award-winning Orchestra Pit and The Secret Circus. Her work has been published by Scholastic, Penguin, Roaring Brook Press, and Boyds Mills Press. She has sold thousands of original artwork pieces worldwide and has collaborated on painting projects that have appeared in print in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, and O Magazine.

Over the last ten years, Wright has taught workshops, providing prompts and exercises to guide participants in connecting with their authentic selves through their creative process. She has presented in countless classrooms across the country, including the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Oregon College of Art and Craft, and Duke University.

Wright grew up in a New Age-minded community (all hippies all the time), reading books like Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain and Be Here Now by Ram Das. She continued her personal journey of meditation, creativity, and self-discovery in her life as an artist and author into motherhood and beyond.
