New flings heat up and old feelings resurface when Immie and Jack head to the beach in this swoon-worthy summer sequel to the upper middle grade rom-com All My Bests told in dual points-of-view.

Jack is doing his best to not think about Immie, his best friend who’s now dating his soccer team rival, Elijah. Freshman year crashed into their friendship like a wrecking ball, and he’s trying to let the dust settle. Soccer has been his distraction, and a group vacation to Breaker’s Edge with his teammates before the next season starts up again sounds like the perfect reset.

Immie is trying to be happy with Elijah, but she can’t stop obsessing over what went wrong with Jack. Maybe she just wants her friend back; maybe she can have the best of both worlds, a great boyfriend and her best friend who once told her he loved her. So when she hears about the group vacation to Breaker’s Edge, she convinces her mom that they need a beachy getaway, too.
