About The Book

Welcome to the most unexpected year of immortal Simon Pure’s long life: 1909.

It's 1909, and Simon Pure embarks on a new life—husband, father, tailor. No longer the roguish Redcoat, Simon is finally at peace. But danger lurks just around the corner as his nemesis Benedict Arnold returns. The only other immortal from the Revolutionary War that still lives, Simon left Arnold to rot at the bottom of the ocean after their last conflict. But now, Benedict appears and claims he wants to help Simon find what he desires most—immortality for his wife and two young children. Can Simon trust his one-time rival? What does Benedict really want? And will the return of Simon’s pal Albert Einstein lead to victory for the immortal or a fate worse than death?

About The Illustrators

Bryan Hitch has been a leading creative force in American comic books for over 30 years. Having worked on characters such as G.I. Joe, Transformers, Superman and The X-Men for 12 years, he co-created The Authority with RED’s Warren Ellis.

Widely regarded as a game-changing series, Comicbookresources.com said, “The Authority is the DNA of 98 percent of the superhero comics published today!” For his work, Hitch was labelled as the first ‘Widescreen’ comic book creator.

Andrew Currie has established a notable career in the comic book industry, initially cutting his teeth on black and white independents before securing a position as an in-house artist at Games Workshop. His expertise quickly drew the attention of major publishers, earning him roles with Marvel, D.C., Dark Horse, 2000A.D., and IDW.

Twenty years ago, Currie joined forces with Bryan Hitch to ink The Ultimates at Marvel, a collaboration that sparked numerous subsequent projects, including their latest endeavour, Redcoat. Over the years, Currie has also worked alongside distinguished artists like Neal Adams and Dougie Braithwaite.

His extensive experience and adaptability have made him a respected and influential figure in the British and global comic book scenes.

Brad Anderson, originally from Kenora, Ontario, began his comic career after attending the Joe Kubert school in 1996. Shortly after returning to Canada he began painting comics at Digital Chameleon where he cut his teeth on some of the top comic characters in the business. After leaving as Art Director, he began independently working on Star Wars Legacy as well as Cat Woman at DC and Ultimate Hawkeye at Marvel.

Other works such as Justice League Darkside War, Doomsday Clock, Dark Knight the Master Race with Frank Miller, 3 Jokers, and Geiger among the many other titles over his, almost 30 years in the business.

Trained in traditional painting and illustration Anderson has fully drawn and colored his own work on covers like Junkyard Joe and Geiger. He also offers a full range of commission work from pencil, ink and full color.

Anderson joined the groundbreaking creator collective at Ghost Machine Productions as Lead Colorist, where he will be working on titles such as Geiger, Redcoat, Rook: Exodus and Hyde Street.
