In 850 AD a shipwrecked viking longboat leaves one survivor on the shores of ancient Alba, a Northman who is on the run from a dark past.

A Northman.

About The Authors

Ivan Lacitignola was born on the shores of Lake Maggiore, in Italy, in 1973. Passionate about all kinds of written tale and narrative from a young age, Ivan collects and plunges himself in US and European comic books, watches hundres of films and reads all genre fiction that comes his way (King, Barker, Poe, Lovecraft, Howard, Verne, and Salgari). In his spare time he plays (too many) video games and goes hiking. Currently, Ivan writes for the videogame industry and is working as a screenwriter on "Runes" (Source Point Press), his first creator-owned work available on the US market.

Alessia Teruggi was born in Verbania, a small province in the north of Italy, in 1989. Always a creative mind, as a young child Alessia loves to draw, play videogames and lose herself in
the pages of a good book. She achieved a Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology in 2013, setting aside her more creative self to pursue a career in the science field. After a MSc degree at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), she came back to Italy and starts working for a multinational corporation in Milan. In 2017, she met Francesco Iaquinta and Ivan Lacitignola at their hometown comic shop, and had the chance to explore the world of comic book creation, offering her languange skills for the project “Runes”. Her commitment to the project grew, and she learned digital color techniques.
She is now working with the same creative team on several other projects, but “Runes” is the first available on the US market.
