About The Author

Adam Shoalts, PhD, is an adventurer, explorer, geographer, archaeologist, and the bestselling author of six books for grown-ups, including Vanished Beyond the Map, Where the Falcon Flies, and The Whisper on the Night Wind. His career has included crossing nearly four thousand kilometres of Canada’s Arctic alone and leading many expeditions for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Sarah Grindler grew up on Salt Spring Island, BC. Inspired by her artistic family and beautiful surroundings, she followed her passion for art and nature into a career of creating picture books. She now lives on Salt Spring Island with her husband, Jason, and children, Jackson and Olivia. She is the author/illustrator of Ocean Secrets, Garden Wonders, Forest Magic, and Seaside Treasures.
