Achy Obejas

About The Author

Achy Obejas was born in Havana, Cuba, and now lives outside San Francisco. She has received a Pulitzer Prize for her work as a journalist at the Chicago Tribune and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry, among other honors. Her most recent book as an author, The Tower of the Antilles , was a PEN / Faulkner finalist. She has translated into Spanish Junot Díaz's The Brief Wonderful Life of Oscar Wao , as well as Adam Mansbach and Ricardo Cortes' picture book Go the F**k to Sleep, among many other titles . He has translated into Spanish The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz and the illustrated album Go to Sleep, Damn It! by Adam Mansbach and Ricardo Cortes, among many other books.
