About The Author

Craig Hurd-McKenney is a Xeric grant–awarded and Ignatz Award–nominated comic book writer based in Seattle, Washington, where he lives with his husband and four rescue dogs. Since launching his career in 2000, his work has carved a distinct niche in horror, sci-fi, and Victorian-inspired storytelling—often blending genre elements with human emotion. His books include Some Strange Disturbances, The Brontës: Infernal Angria, and Boris Karloff’s Gold Key Mysteries. Craig’s upcoming titles include the graphic novel Station Grand (Oni Press), Curse of Dark Shadows (Hermes Press), and now Best Friend Show from Nakama Press, further expanding his imaginative, richly textured narratives.
