Cynthia Gonzalez

About The Author

Cynthia Gonzalez was born in El Salvador and raised in South Los Angeles. She's multi-faceted with talents as a writer, poet, activist, and community leader. Cynthia has served as an executive board member for non-profits in Los Angeles and Long Beach. She has also served as a Cultural Advisor and Entertainment Director for the Los Angeles LBGT Center. She has written articles for the local Long Beach press, and was featured in the Los Angeles Times. Her passion for seeing a positive representation of the Salvadoran community led her to establish Salvies Who Lunch. This non-profit organizational platform connects and uplifts Salvadorans of all backgrounds through empowering and supportive events. Cynthia is the author behind Lil' Libros' newly released title, The Life of / La vida de Llort, and has translated over ten books within the Lil' Libros' VÁMONOS travel series. On her free days, she enjoys watching sci-fi movies and eating rocky road ice cream.
