Emily Farranto

About The Author

Emily Farranto is a writer and artist based in New Orleans. She writes a monthly art column in Antigravity and is the author of the Substack publications Village Disco and Disco Nola. Her writing has appeared in Slate, New Orleans Review, Arts & Letters, and Burnaway. In 2020, she published the illustrated book Animals Mate: A Book About Where Babies Come From (Familius). She is also the author of a novel, The Gulf of New Orleans. Farranto lives in New Orleans with her two sons.
