Karen Liebreich has written a wide variety of investigative and historical books, including Fallen Order and The Letter in the Bottle. She writes regularly for Private Eye, the UK’s bestselling current affairs and satirical news magazine. She has a doctorate in history for which she researched in the Vatican and Inquisition archives, and made award-winning documentary films for the BBC, tracking down significant Nazis who had never been interviewed before. In 2013, she received an MBE from Queen Elizabeth II.
