Wina Eberhard

About The Author

Wina Eberhard was born in Drenthe in 1961. She grew up lovingly on the coast, surrounded by nature in the north of the Netherlands. She attended a small village school, where exploration and hands-on learning were the tools used to teach. She has carried these tools with her throughout her life and into her teaching career. As a teacher, she worked with children aged 4 to 7 for over 25 years. An important aspect of her teaching methodology was making children feel safe and providing them with loving guidance. This also applied in her private life to her own daughter and son, who are now adults. When they left the parental nest, Wina devoted herself to her creative side: photography, sculpture, and illustration. In 2020, she won the International Key Colours Competition with her debut picture book Miss Daisy’s Flowers, a book about loving and letting go. In the book, the grieving process is beautifully translated through the eyes of a child by the story of a little mouse who experiences a loss. Wina enjoys her children, grandchildren, dog, nature, and life. Her motto is: “Love life and be curious about what it brings you.”
