Rafael Niesten

Rafael Niesten grew up with nothing in Perth, Western Australia the most isolated capital city on earth. He started making money rummaging through bins for aluminum cans and adding sand to boost the weight. Today, Rafael is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and multi-millionaire who built his wealth from nothing.

Featured on Shark Tank, Rafael won funding for this start-up after which he bought four other platforms and formed Proptech Labs which he sold to a US-based private equity company in October 2025.

Rafael is a passionate advocate for financial literacy. He is an active presence in the entrepreneurship and technology communities, where he mentors emerging entrepreneurs and startup founders.

Rafael holds a double degree and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Media. Lessons from a Wealth Building Minimalist is his first non-fiction book.
